Information design
To The Moon and Back: A New Era of Communication is the digital continuation of Flight and Fallout, a paper-based information design project on 20th-century technological advancements.
While the original focused on the evolution of air warfare and its impact on global communication, this extension shifts to the 21st century, exploring the rise of mobile phones and their role in worldwide connectivity.
Building on the narrative of global communication post-moon landing, the project examines how mobile phones became central to this transformation through an interactive timeline highlighting the most popular models from the 2000s onward. Viewers can explore the progression of mobile technology, along with key statistics and trends of each decade, ultimately delving into the broader impact of mobile phones on society, communication, and culture while addressing the question: How has this invention shaped the world, and how have phones evolved in the new century?
